Step 1:  The Video Player

Secram uses Flash Media Encoders.
The video below is being streamed through a Flash Media Player at an average of 400 / Kbps.
The video is purposely low in image quality.  The quality of our live-streams are broadcast at a higher rate.
If you are able to see the video, then you will be able to see our live-stream.
If you are not able to see the video, then you will need to download the
Flash Media Player here.
Step  2:  Your Bandwidth

Your bandwidth determines the speed at which your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allows how much data can be
transferred to and from your computer at any given moment.

The highter the speed, the more data can be transferred.  As such, for live-streaming download speed is crucial for
video quality.  Therefore, the higher the video resolution and sound quality, the higher download speed required.

For a smooth video flow with good sound, you will need at least 275/Kbps (kilobytes per second) download speed.

Test your download speed here at www.speedtest.net.

On the speedtest.net page, click on the nearest location on the map and you will be shown the download speed.

After the first speed test, choose another location on the map that is furthest from your location.

The average between the results of the two speed test will give you an idea of your bandwidth speed.  When you test
the speed, try testing during the same time as your event.

If your average speed is at least 275 / Kbps you will be able to watch the Secram Studio live-stream with no problems.

Anything lower than 275 / Kbps will result in lower quality and may exhibit a minor stuttering of the video as well as
intermittent freezing of the video.  You may still view the live-stream, but it will be in poor to average quality.

We do not recommend registering for any event with download speeds lower than 150 / Kbps.
